Income Tax
Revenue from rented property is subject to income tax, although repair charges, agent's fees and most other expenses and allowances can usually be offset against this. Where a landlord is resident abroad we are obliged by law to either deduct tax at source and pay it to the Inland Revenue under the FICO scheme or if the landlord has arranged a FICO exemption revenue is paid by us without deduction in the normal way. |
